My son received this as a gift for his 5th birthday. The push buttons are easy to use. He was delighted with the result of every experiment. Very instructional booklet enables him to complete the experiments on his own.

I've a great swag of these nifty Brain Boxes, & use them for schools pre teen "mad scientist " work to GREAT EFFECT. They're teachers dream at tidy up time too, since the box partitions foster compulsive re-packing. In spite of several years thrashing (from ~1000s of kids !) they remain essentially bullet proof. Even the motors withstand all sorts of crazy over voltage punishment, although I've lost a few sound modules. However this has persuaded me to gut the dead modules & fit NZ$5 PICAXE micro-controllers instead! Easily the best electro. kit idea in years.
