The 8 x 21 compact binoculars are good value for money. They are easy for a child (or adult) to hold, are easy to focus and adjust, and fold up to fit into a neat carry case that fits on a belt.They are robust-looking and appear to be well made, so should last my son a long time. He has been very pleased with all that he can see through them - the lenses are good quality. All in all, they are everything that a gadget-mad 8 year old could want, and would suit older children as well. Petra Charlewood, Manukau
