We were so excited about getting this toy, but alas while looking good, it does not work! Tried on at least six different stairs and it would not 'slink'!!

Not sure what you were doing Rebecca but my eight year old son received his Slinky yesterday and has been walking it down stairs without any trouble. He has had great fun with it. The genuine original Slinky is a great tactile toy and lots of jiggly juggling tinkling fun!
